Image:  a reproduction or an imitation of the form of a person, place or thing.

Imagination: the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly received in reality.

Words that are so similar but have such different meanings.  Meanings that are so different but words that are so related and dependent on each other.

I start with an image-a photograph, that captures an ordinary or extraordinary moment of life.  The photograph engages my imagination, which brings me to create something “not present to the senses or wholly received in reality.”

I live in Maine with my three beautiful children and enjoy an active and full life-all of which influence and inspire my art every single day.
